Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Information Via this Website

Playhouse Media, LLC, and Woodlands Family Magazine ("WFM") collect certain personal information through this website. The following describes what information is collected and how that information may be used and shared with third parties.
Use of Information Gathered Through This Site
WFM collects information that you submit via an email link from this website. You may use the links, for example, to inquire about advertising opportunities. The information you provide may include, for example, your name, title, company, address, telephone number and email address.
The information you submit will be retained by WFM in a database maintained by WFM or its service provider, and will be used by WFM to complete your request, such as providing you with the information you requested. WFM will not share the information with any third party, except as otherwise set forth in this Privacy Statement. WFM may share the information to complete your request. For example, if you request to be added to the mailing list, WFM may share the information with the mailing and fulfillment company providing services. WFM may also share the information with a successor in interest, an affiliate or its consultants who are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of the information. For example, if WFM merges with another publisher, WFM may share the information with that publisher. WFM may also share the information as permitted by law. For example, WFM may provide the information in response to a subpoena, a law enforcement or governmental agency request, or a court order.
WFM may also use the information retained in the database to communicate with you directly via email or direct mail, such as to inform you about newsworthy topics and upcoming opportunities that may be of interest to you. For example, WFM may use your email address to send you information about magazine contests or upcoming partner events. In order to guard your nonpublic personal information, we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards.
Anonymous Information
WFM also gather anonymous information, which may be used by WFM or shared with third parties. This information does not personally identify you but may be helpful for improving the services we offer. Generally this information is collected through "traffic data" and may entail the use of "cookies," "IP addresses," or other numeric codes used to identify a computer.
Cookies: "Cookies" give users a special, random ID that are small text files, which are stored on the hard drive of a user's computer. WFM employs cookies to recognize you and your access privileges for certain locations on the website, such as the online Media Kit, as well as to track site usage. Subscribers who do not accept cookies from the website may not be able to access areas of the website. WFM also uses Google Ads to display ads on the website. Some of these ads may contain cookies that are set by third parties (i.e., advertising agencies or advertising clients). WFM does not have access to these cookies or any information that they may contain.
IP Addresses: WFM also logs IP addresses for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes. (Your IP address indicates the location of your computer on the Internet.) WFM does not log IP addresses to track your session, nor do we link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable.
Credit Card Information: If you use a credit card to pay for a WFM product or service, we may retain your credit card information in order to renew your account in the event you elect to purchase again. When we do retain credit card information, we keep it secure and separate from other demographic information you may have given us.
Opting-Out
By submitting your email address to WFM, you agree to receiving email from WFM. You may opt-out of receiving further e-mail by contacting family@woodlandsfamilymagazine.com. Any changes to this privacy statement will be made through a revised posting on the WFM website.
Note on Use of Site by Children and Non-U.S. Users
The website is directed to adults and not directed to children under the age of 13. WFM asks that minors not submit any personal information to us. WFM complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and does not permit registration by and will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 13.
All users, including those users who access the website from a country other than the U.S., agree that the laws of the State of Texas shall govern any dispute, including those arising from WFM’s use of personal information or otherwise relating to privacy, as specified in the Terms and Conditions of Use.
Third Party Partners and Links to Other Websites
WFM is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of websites to which it may link. This policy applies solely to information collected by WFM.
WFM Partner Products & Services: While visiting the website, you may decide to purchase a product or service through one of our partners whose services are promoted or advertised on the site. If you do so, you will be acting under the guidelines of the third party provider's privacy policy, if it has one. WFM cannot make guarantees or warranties as to the nature of a third party's use of your personal information.
